Sean was delighted to have been invited to Dumfries House by the King for a private tour of the legendary Chippendale furniture collection, and to contribute to the King’s time capsule that celebrates 35 years of the King’s Foundation! More information on the time capsule can be found here.
Sean’s contribution to the capsule was a handmade pencil and pencil holder made from Scottish wych elm, locally sourced from the region.
Amongst the standout pieces of Chippendale furniture were the four-poster bed with beautifully carved acanthus leaves spiralling up the columns, and the stunning arm chairs with incredibly detailed carving. More information on the Chippendale furniture at the house can be found here.
